Formerly part of the feudal Loirac seigneury, Château Laulan Ducos passed through many hands until 1911, at which time Marguerite Cruon left the estate to Paul Meynieu – great- grandfather of Francis Ducos, who took over ownership in 1983.
The estate consists of 22 hectares of vines on a gravelly rise. Thanks to its permeability, the deep Garrone gravel soil is ideally suited to viticulture.
We rely on traditional methods, and pump over frequently. The wine stays on the skins for a long time (20-30 days), which produces beautiful colour and good tannic structure.
